Dashboard Overview

The Orders Dashboard is your home base for managing orders and the documents behind them.

Main Interface

When you log in, you'll see the Orders Dashboard with these key areas:

Header Bar

The header runs across the top of every page:

  • Platted logo - Click to return to the dashboard
  • Live / Offline indicator - A colored dot reading "Live" while the app is connected for real-time updates on document processing progress and on orders other examiners are working on, and "Offline" when that connection drops
  • Attention bell - Carries a count badge and opens a Needs your attention list; each entry links straight to the tab of the order that needs work
  • Docs - Opens this documentation in a new browser tab
  • Help & Feedback - Opens a short form for questions, bugs and requests
  • User menu - Access your profile and sign out

Two header items appear only in specific cases: a Plant Admin link, shown only to plant administrators, and - for Platted staff viewing another organization - a Read Only badge beside an organization switcher.

Orders Table

The main area displays all orders with these columns:

  • Order Number - Unique identifier for each order; click the header to sort
  • Subject Property - The property the order covers
  • Status - Current order status; click the header to sort
  • Needs Review - An amber alert icon with a count when documents are waiting on you, or a green check once the order's documents are complete
  • Examiner - Assigned examiner (if any)
  • Created - When the order was created; click the header to sort
  • Actions - Per-order actions

Filtering and Search

Above the orders table:

  • Search - A single box, "Search by order number, property address, or description... (press Enter)". It runs when you press Enter, not as you type
  • Advanced - A toggle that reveals the Status, Examiner and Created Date filters plus a Show only my orders checkbox. The button carries a badge with the number of active filters
  • Active filters appear as removable chips under the search box, and the Clear button resets them all at once

Navigation

Click any order row to open the Order Detail page where you can:

  • View and edit order information on the Order Details tab
  • Upload and manage documents on the Documents tab

Creating Orders

Click the New Order button in the Orders card header to create a new order; before you have any orders, the empty state offers a Create First Order button instead. See Creating Orders for details.
